Originally a Durban girl, Liesl studied accounting at the University of Natal and went on to do her articles at Deloitte Johannesburg. Her auditing career took her across mining, industry and eventually consulting and she spent 6 months in the southern states of the USA to round off her time in Deloitte.
Her travels landed her in London where she discovered her love of banking and innovation at Credit Suisse in the Docklands. On her return to South Africa she started life in FirstRand at FNB creating solutions for the unbanked in deep rural South Africa and then found her way across the group - from RMB IT in business analysis to transfer pricing in ALCO, to strategy in Global markets and now is living her passion in the innovation and disruption space.
She is passionate about women in the work place and creating the future of banking. In her spare time she is a mom of a teenager, reads anything she can, blogs about her passions, travels as much as possible and dabbles in her fruit and veggie garden.

Several years ago, in the midst of the Greek debt crisis, soaring gold prices and the credit downgrade of the US federal government, Farzam set out to deepen his knowledge about our fragile global financial system to understand what can be changed so that it can better serve humanity.
Over the last few years, this journey has taken Farzam through RMB's Global Markets, Group Treasury, Investment Banking, and Private Equity divisions as part of RMB's Class Of programme. He recently helped establish the Foundery, RMB's FinTech unit, where he is currently leading RMB's Blockchain Initiative. Farzam believes that blockchain technology will be as transformative to our financial system as the internet has been to the world.
Farzam previously worked at McKinsey & Company in Johannesburg, Deloitte Consulting in San Francisco, the Baha'i World Centre in Haifa and the United Nations in Nairobi. He studied economics at the University of California - Berkeley.
